Problem with ESP32_spiffs_example

I tried the to run the ESP32_spiffs_example, and it works fine except for the part dealing with SPIFFS Images
I followed the instructions on this site but the chapter Prepare SPIFFS image doesn't work.

When I type make clean in the directory components/mkspiffs/include I get an error message, such as make: *** Aucune règle pour fabriquer la cible « clean ». Arrêt. (make: *** No rule to build the target "clean". Stopping.)

Can anyone tell me how I can have this to work ?

I downloaded the archive mkspiffs-0.2.3-esp-idf-win32 and unzipped it in the C:\msys32\mingw32\bin directory but this doesn't change anything.
