M5Stack SDK

Postby vibnwis » Sat Feb 24, 2018 12:08 pm

Hi there,

M5Stack arrived recently. I was wondering anyone has successfully installed cp210x.ko? or the SDK in Ubuntu or Linux? M5Stack founder said, they will not support Linux as they do not use it.

Have you tried it?

cp120x drivers are avaulable in Ubuntu 16.0 & 17.10, and M5Stack works just fine. No need to install anything.

Code: Select all

boris@UbuntuMate:~$ ls -al /lib/modules/"$(uname -r)"/kernel/drivers/usb/serial/cp210x.ko
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 57014 Vel 16 18:49 /lib/modules/4.13.0-36-generic/kernel/drivers/usb/serial/cp210x.ko

Code: Select all

boris@UbuntuServer:~$ ls -al /lib/modules/"$(uname -r)"/kernel/drivers/usb/serial/cp210x.ko
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 37202 Aug 12 2017 /lib/modules/4.4.0-93-generic/kernel/drivers/usb/serial/cp210x.ko
