ESP-NOW reliability issues

Hi,

I am having some trouble with the Waveshare ESP32-S3 Mini board receiving ESP-NOW packets with the data intact. The packets seem to be getting delivered, but the string delivered is often missing pieces of text or garbled (see attached). Does anyone have any ideas? I am simply using the standard ESP-NOW broadcast master/slave example sketches, so I don't see why it should be an issue. Setting the channel number to 9 perhaps slightly improved it, but not greatly.
