Hi,
I am new to esp32, forgive my ignorance. I am planning to use esp32s3-N16R8V chip, (not the whole module ESP32-S3-WROOM-2-N16R8V). My understanding is that PSRAM is inside the SoC and PSRAM is not externally connected to the module. In that case i don't need to connect external PSRAM to the chip. Is my understanding correct?
In case i would like to have another 8MB of PSRAM, can i connect that to the SoC externally so that it will become 24MB in total and it can be mapped if i am using 16R8V Soc.
Thanks for the help in advance.
Best Regards

Yes, the psram is inside the package. No, you cannot add another psram chip externally and expect the amount of accessible memory available to increase, the chip does not support that.
