Can we use the ESP32 series for Matter standard(newly total protocol for IOT)

I have some question for the Matter standard.
Can we use the hardware not changing for the Matter standard?
That is, it just need that we upgrade the firmware or software?
If you know about the standard, please advise me.

Went to have a look at the 'Matter Standard'. Seems one must 'sell their soul' to look at the details of the standard. OP wanna show us a copy of the details ?

You can absolutely use Matter on all ESP32 chips, see here. Limitation is that chips without 802.15.4 hardware support will only be able to run Matter over WiFi, not Thread.
