WiFi External Coexistence

Postby steve-cp » Thu Jul 21, 2022 2:40 pm

I am trying to enable WiFi External Coexistence on my ESP32 S3 (using ESP32-S3-DevKitC-1).

As shown in the External Coexistence Design Application Note, I go to: Component config -> Wi-Fi

Menuconfig does not display it unless I select Show-all Mode. Then, it shows up in red, and it still does not allow me to select it.

If I target for S2, it shows up.

Is WiFi External Coexistence feature available on S3? If so, what do I have to do to enable it?

Below is all my environment info if that helps.

It looks like at the moment this is only supported for S2 and C3 (as in: the menu option is explicitly disabled unless you have one of those chips). Suggest creating a feature request for this so the wifi team knows there's interest in getting this fixed.
