I'm currently working on a new product and leaning towards using ESP as the processor. However, I'm having a hard time understanding how the FCC certification works.
Let's say I decide to use the ESP-WROOM-02D. Based on this documentation: https://www.espressif.com/sites/default ... ficate.pdf (which I found from the product selector page), it would seem that the module is FCC complaint.
Now, would I be able to take that module, slap it onto a PCB, and immediately start selling it? Or are there other steps I need to take to be complaint with the FCC?

Re: Understanding FCC complaince
Hi Gary,
You may want to read this https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/kdb/forms/FT ... 7&switch=P
And contact Espressif for further information
https://www.espressif.com/en/contact-us/sales-questions
They are very supportive of customer's requests.
There are fornal steps that you need to take before marketing a product embedding a certified RF module.
Take care
