softAP problem with M5Stack-core2 AWS

I posted on github but I'd like to share here as well if someone has any idea about a possible solution.

Summary: softAP fails if it is running on the M5Stack-core2 AWS kit for mobile clients. I tested the softAP application with different devkits (m5core2-aws and esp-wrover-kit) by using different wifi clients (linux pc, an ios device and an android device).
