Wanted to get started with ESP32 HDK

Hi,
I have a varied hardware and product design experience (4+ years) and I would like to get started with building a development platform for Espressif ESP32. What support shall I expect from here?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, things have been a little busy with the ESP32 releasing.

Your plans to build a development platform sounds great, and something we would love to support.

There are a number of Espressif employees active on this forum - including business development, support, FAEs, and some ESP-IDF (SDK) developers such as myself and ESP_Sprite.

In general, if you have questions about hardware design with ESP32 then someone on the forum will be able to answer them directly or refer you to the correct place to find the answer. If you want to speak to an Espressif representative privately then this is also possible but if the topic isn't sensitive then posting on the forum is an excellent way to get a range of responses.
