Maybe I have missed something in the data sheets.
But if the onboard 500mA 5V to 3.3V supply is insufficient and I require something more, then how can this be achieved while still allowing me to use serial monitor for debugging purposes?
It seems if I put in my own regulated 3.3V supply to the 3.3V pin on ESP32 then according to the data sheets I can not also use the USB cable as it also supplies power, so how can I view the serial monitor?
Should I power the ESP from 5V and put in a separate 3.3V supply to power the peripherals, seems like having my own and ESP32 3.3V supply feeding into the same rails is not a good design.
Any ideas welcome.
Thanks
How to use serial monitor if powering ESP32 from external 3.3V?
