Using the EN pin as a power switch

Hello,

I'm using a LOLIN D32 board for a project. My system is battery powered (with the built in battery chip on the D32), and I'd like to have a switch to power off the whole system while keeping the possibility to charge my battery.

My thought was to simply use a switch on the EN pin and toggle it LOW to switch off everything then toggle it HIGH with the battery pin to power on everything. It seems that it could work but when I switch back on my modules don't seem to start... Would you have any idea how to fix that ?

PS: I'm sorry but I got very poor hardware knowledge on this side...

Hard to say... perhaps the ESP32 has issues with the switch bounce behaviour... perhaps try to solder a small capacitor (1uF or so) over the switch?
