Connecting three boards via bluetooth?

I got the SerialToSerialBT demo working - briefly. My android phone now connects to the device then immediately disconnects. No bother - using a phone or computer isn't my long-term intent, anyway. I need to get three boards talking to each other. One would be the primary and will be pulling data from GPS and a temp/pressure sensor to write to an SD card. The other two boards will be workers, just pulling temp/pressure data and sending it to the primary for logging to the SD.

Is there a way that I can get the boards connected to each other without connecting to anything else? Worst case, I could do a configuration step via the usb/serial connection.

Can anyone point me to a method of tying multiple worker boards to a single controller board? Thanks.
