Need help with dump - have to exchange ESP32-WRover

I have a big problem. I own a controller where the Wifi does not work anymore. Assembled inside is an ESP32-WRover.

Now I want the exchange the ESP32 but the supplier does not provide the software to me. The defective ESP32 has only a Wifi defect therefore I am able to boot them up and it is working.

Does someone of you have an idea how I can read out the software of the old ESP32 and program them in the new ESP32 (have to clone them).

It depends - if flash encryption is disabled, you should be able to either use the rom download mode or just open the Wrover, desolder the flash chip and read out the data. If flash encryption is enabled, there's not really an easy way.
