ESP32-PICO-KIT V4.1 Vin 7-12V which pin? 3.3V which pin?

Postby knightridar » Sun Oct 13, 2019 9:17 pm

Hi, I just got ESP32-PICO-KIT V4.1.
From digi-key:

I've downloaded data sheets for it from the Espressif website but am still confused.

Where is the 7-12V input pin?
What if I have a buck converter that steps down the voltage to 3.3V, where do I plug it in? The 3V3 pin?

Thanks.

There is no 7-12V input. The 5V input is connected to the USB->UART adapter (CP2012), so applying >5V will burn that chip. Use 3V3 on the 3V3 pin, or 5V on the 5V pin.

Got it thanks.
It wasn't clear if those 3v3 or 5v pins were just outputs or could be also used as inputs.
I will use them as both using this buck converter:
