[solved] Continuous reboot RTCWDT_RTC_RESET

Postby kitts82 » Mon Sep 23, 2019 5:07 pm

I have created a board with ESP32-PICO-D4 and am facing an issue with continuous rebooting with the following block...

Code: Select all

rst:0x10 (RTCWDT_RTC_RESET),boot:0x13 (SPI_FAST_FLASH_BOOT)
configsip: 188777542, SPIWP:0xee
clk_drv:0x00,q_drv:0x00,d_drv:0x00,cs0_drv:0x00,hd_drv:0x00,wp_drv:0x00
mode:DIO, clock div:2
load:0x3fff0018,len:4
load:0x3fff001c,len:6504
load:0x40078000,len:13952
ho 0 tail 12 room 4
load:0x40080400,len:4284
entry 0x400806e8
What could be causing this? I tried the same project on an esp32-pico-kit V4 and it work fine.

Note: I do suspect soldering issues on the chip but i don't know what to look out for.

This was indeed a soldering issue on the chip near the VDD_SDIO pin. Reworking the chip soldering around that pin seems to have gotten me past this issue.
