Any experience with 100T-base-T1 PHYs?

Does anybody have experience working with 100base-t1 PHYs (802.3bw?) That is a new ethernet standard for a low speed multidrop ethernet.

I found a TI one that claims to support RMII http://www.ti.com/lit/wp/szzy009/szzy009.pdf. I wonder how well it will work with ESP32. What I have not found in the docs is how the CSMA is done, and if I will need to modify any existing code to do collision handling (since 100base-t1 is a single wire bus.)
