Very cool!!!
Re: ESP32-P4, so close to the golden goose
I dont know if i am allowed to disclose this, but last week on workshop in Brno we could see working MIPI to HDMI extension.
Hopefully we can buy it soon, or maybe will be added to devkits too?
For those who are interested in P4 devkits, here we can find BSP for new one:

Re: ESP32-P4, so close to the golden goose
I doubt there's anything secret on there, MIPI-to-HDMI bridge chips are off-she-shelf units. Even if we decide to not make them ourselves, I have no doubt third parties will pop up to fill the gap.
Re: ESP32-P4, so close to the golden goose
I already found and bought some mipi dsi to hdmi board, but unlucky it is not pin compatible with esp32 p4.

What i am trying to say it is nice to see that espressif is making such extension on its own, and also is working on code which will support it in such short time after releasing P4 on market (P4 devboard).
Next thing which would be nice to have is something like that
https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/HDMI_to_CSI_Adapter
By combining P4 with DSI to hdmi and hdmi to CSI we can have nice video device to make real time overlays and much more.
