debugging with ESP-prog without 2 USB cables

Hi, I think this is the right section to post on.
The question I couldn't find on the internet is whether it's possible to use ESP-prog (debugger) and ESP32 with only one USB cable.
I could only make it work with 2 cables, I don't know if I made some mistake or I'm unaware of something. I'm asking this because I don't have enough USB ports to use 2 cables, so there's a solution or I'm gonna have to buy a USB hub.

How do you connect with two USB cables? One cable is enough to connect to ESP-PROG, and ESP-PROG will provide supply for ESP32 module.
