Hi, I just bought 3 ESP32-C3 devkit boards from mouser , and I connect them on USB on my linux laptop and I see no serial port.
Dmesg reports no device connection whatsoever. I use other CP210x boards and they work fine, so it is not a driver/kernel issue or port issue.. The devkit boards turn on a solid blue led when connected, but no USB serial device at all.
I tried pressing the buttons it has for reset and bootloading to no effect on the USB serial.
Is there something I'm missing. I don't see jumpers or anything like that on the board.
Same thing happens on all 3 boards I got.
I would appreciate any help.
Best Regards

There's very little to configure on the board, so there's not much you could have done wrong... Maybe a stupid question, but you don't happen to use a charging-only USB cable? Does the cable work with other devices? Asking because we've seen that be an issue before.

YEs, you are correct, I just happened to use 3 different charging-only cable.
I could not believe how many I have in my drawer that are charging only.. they all look the same.
The board works great!
Thanks for the reply.

I also have an ESP32-C3. I had a serial connection error at Ubuntu. Installing the "python3-serial" package solved it.
