I use ESP NOW for the constant exchange of data between two devices, the transmission is carried out with the maximum possible frequency, about 800 sendings with confirmation per second. The shielding cover of the ESP32 WROOM heats up to a temperature of about 50C, I do not know what the temperature of the chip is inside, but I think it is much higher than the temperature of the shielding cover.
