Hello,
I have found a number of examples on the web that show how to do OTA (Over the Air) update for ESP32 using AWS, Netsons and other servers.
This is one good example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ck55tY7mm1c
I just wanted to know if it is possible to do OTA using Dropbox, i.e. when the ESP32 wants to get a new file it gets it from Dropbox?
Thankyou.
OTA from Dropbox
Re: OTA from Dropbox
Hi John,
you can use any webhosting/filehosting service that offers a direct link to the file (so no page with a download button).
It may be possible to do this using dropbox by using a direct link. However, dropbox will redirect you to the actual file which may not work with the OTA updates. Also I'm not sure if you can update a file on dropbox and have the same link for the download which the OTA update needs to function.
