iBeacon and MFi

Hi,

I'm developing an application using the iBeacon feature in EPS32 IDF and an iOS App talks to it.
Some posts online say MFi is only for those who would like to use the iBeacon trademark from Apple.

Does anyone know if MFi is necessary if I don't use the iBeacon trademark for the final product?

PS. the iOS App will be launched to App Store.

If it needs to be displayed in Apple's Bluetooth setting interface, MFI authentication is required. Otherwise, it cannot be displayed by the system Bluetooth. However, third-party apps are not subject to this restriction
