Dear ESP,
The ESP-IDF git branching model seems to allow convenient & semi automatic version number generation along with support for developing multiple versions.
I see the overview but details like when you tag, how you branch/manage/merge a change which applies to multiple versions escape me.
Would it be possible to publish the rules and mechanics of your approach ?
