Detailed specification of MIPI CSI

Postby whoyoume » Thu Jul 09, 2020 12:00 pm

Hello,

Could anybody please show me detailed specification of MIPI CSI?
I would like to create a bridge interface between a camera module and MPU.

Thank you.

You mean the standard in general? The only legal source I know of is the MIPI Alliance, who will happily give you a standard as soon as you become a member. Yes, I know it's not the most convenient or cheap way to get the standard, but as far as I know it's the only *legal* way to do so, and as an admin I would not like to see any *non-legal* links to documents cropping up, even if they are available on the Internet in general.

Thank you for your reply.

Could you please show me if I get a chip or a device for that purpose?
And where?

I would like to get cheap one, because a price of the camera module is cheap.

Thank you.

I don't know of any MIPI chips that are interoperable with the ESP32. There may or may not be one or more that can be used, I'm just not aware of any.

Thank you for your replies so far.

I think there would appear low cost chip for that purpose.
