Connect RaspberryPi 4 physically to ESP32

Postby RichPiano » Sat May 30, 2020 2:34 pm

Hi guys

I want to connect a RaspberryPi 4 to an ESP32 physically. The raspberry should be tuned into a backend wlan network and the ESP32 should take its data and send it across the front end WLAN network. So both devices should be plugged into different networks, hence i need both as I can't tune into both networks at the same time using just one RaspberryPi right?

Now, how do i do this? Is it even possible?

Best option would be to ad an WiFi USB adapter to one of the rpi usb 3.0 port, the you only have to configure the rpi and get much better performance.

If that works that is actually a good idea, thanks! Can I just use any wifi-dongle or will it have to be a special one to avoid compatability issues?

In need to be supporter, but try search for supporter models, the it will Work.

You can easy find guides showing how to configure the rpi with 2 or more network interfaces.
