Is ESP32-WROVER-B(IPEX) DevKitC a qualified hardware for running Amazon FreeRTOS?

Postby dipen@1337lab.io » Wed Jan 29, 2020 9:09 am

Namaste Community Members,

The official web-page of ESP32-DevKitC https://www.espressif.com/en/products/h ... c/overview, says that the ESP32-DevKitC is an AWS-qualified development board.

However, on the AWS Partner Device Catalog web-page https://devices.amazonaws.com/search?hw ... itc&page=1, I can find the ESP32-WROOM-32 DevKitC board but I can not find the ESP32-WROVER-B(IPEX) DevKitC board.

Can I develop my application using Amazon FreeRTOS on the ESP32-WROVER-B(IPEX) DevKitC board? The Manufacturer Part Number (MPN) for ESP32-WROVER-B(IPEX) DevKitC is ESP32-DevKitC-VIB?

Thanks | Regards,
Dipen Shah

Thank you chegewara for the confirmation.

Additionally, please find below, the reply received from the Espressif Business Support Team for this same query, which I had emailed them.

Hi DIPEN,

Thanks for your email and your interest in our products.

Yes, our development boards of any ESP32-WROOM and ESP-SOLO series module are AWS-qualified. WROVER series modules are not qualified yet technically. But there is no difference in the software, and we can get qualification done quickly. Practically ESP32-WROVER-B(IPEX) DevKitC will work fine.

You are right. The Manufacturer Part Number (MPN) for ESP32-WROVER-B(IPEX) DevKitC is ESP32-DevKitC- VIB. You can always refer to https://www.espressif.com/sites/default ... ion_en.pdf in our website for the Part Number (MPN) info.

Thank you.
