TSMC managed to put antenna right into chip's package

At least one %semiconductor_company% had this working around 2013, so should be possible in 2019, I guess? (May be a different frequency band though)

Easier at 30ghz than 2.4ghz but bcm20732S did it for Bluetooth.

Quite a boon if you want to export to US. The chip with built in antenna should amount to a "standalone module" for purposes of FCC certification. So you don't have to recertify every device with it.
