Listing the number of currently "used" TCP connections?

Postby amrMike » Mon Dec 23, 2019 6:13 pm

Hello,
My name is Michael; first-time poster here! I simply love this platform, but I may be loading it with more resposibilites than I should. It seems that whatever approach I take I seem to max out on the ESP32's capabilities. Especially, the communication between the ESP32 and a PC app that communicate via TCP becomes unreliable over time, loosing ability to reliably connect, both ways.

My question is: Is there a way to "easily" get a snapshot status of how many opened TCP ports one have on the MCU, or for that matter how many additional ports I can open at any given time? Since the ESP itself certainly know what limits are compiled in, it should be able to tell how much remains?

I can't seem to find such info in the API reference. Is there any?

Thank you for your insights!
