I saw this guy holly messed up with his endeavor to upgrade from wrover to wrover-b. I'm on wroom and could use the extra memory for buffers. I saw different voltages were being mentioned and different strapping pin levels were mentioned but no definitive result. Can someone give me a clear description of what voltage is needed for wrover-b and what that means with strapping pin setting? What settings to change in menuconfig to make use of wrover-b?
I know I need to enable use external spi memory. I have a small programmer board I can press my modules into so I'll need to run some tests on this programmer board until I get memory and flash working.
I'm using ESP-IDF V3.3. Do I have to upgrade?
Thanks.
What settings should be different when I go from a wroom to a wrover-b?

I wonder why nobody is interested in providing the information. Anyway. I'll start exploring menuconfig settings myself. Will update with my experience.Internal pull-up resistor (R9) for MTDI is not populated in the module, as the flash and SRAM in ESP32-WROVER-B
only support a power voltage of 3.3 V (output by VDD_SDIO).
