Problems Installing ESP-IDF Tools Installer

Hello everyone. I have always programmed esp32 using the arduino IDE. But recently I'm thinking of using some more advanced functions that Arduino doesn't allow me yet.

I started by following a guide provided by Espressif (https://docs.espressif.com/projects/esp ... setup.html) but couldn't go very far. When trying to use ESP-IDF Tool Installer I get to a point and get an error.

I can open the program, select the Python I have on the machine, select the Git 2.21.0 I have installed and choose to download ESP-IDF.

The program runs and installs everything, but in the end gives me the following error:

"installation has failed with exit code 2"

This is the part of the log that shows the error:

Which ESP32 IDF you are planning to use? Did you check requirement package lists provided into text file?

What's requiriments? I'm justo following this guide https://docs.espressif.com/projects/esp ... setup.html. It just says I need a 64bit windows.

There is one requirements text file will be present after cloning ESP32 IDF which you have ever to execute before compiling any sample code.

This is completely unrelated to the requirements.txt file...

The issue is due to spaces in the path where IDF Tools are installed. It was fixed in this commit: https://github.com/espressif/esp-idf/co ... 55441cd20a, however we haven't released the new installer with that fix, yet. Could you please try this version? https://dl.espressif.com/dl/esp-idf-tools-setup-2.1.exe
