I hope there'll be a new one with ethernet plus PHY and maybe a POE PD controller (the lack of those takes away some of the advantages of a small esp32, by the time they are added you have a big board like PI's ad such). IoT for buildings isn't safe/reliable when it's all exposed on wireless the users can get at, sure for a couple of home devices.

It's still very small even with POE.

taken from datasheet:

S.12 ( Note )

..
2.ESP32-S2’s pins SPICS1, SPIHD, SPIWP, SPICS0, SPICLK, SPIQ and SPID are usually
used for connecting the embedded flash and SRAM, and are not recommended for other uses.
..

there are plan's to get an ESP32-S2 with eMbeddedFlash i read out :)

from 2.1.3
..up to 1 GB of external flash and SRAM can be supported.

i think there must someone edit this line , it reads SRAM up to 1GB can be supported?
really? ( i am thinking 128MB )

ups...

Let's try to keep the thread clean of guessing.

OFDM modem is just part of wifi.

OFDM modem is just part of wifi.
actually were in the ESP32S2 (LX7) future repo
even the ESP32 (LX6) soc header, he grabbed.

the over-zealous made blind and
he reached for the stars too fast
and then he moved lonely ..

QFDM / OFDM
therefore, both thought trains posted
i hoped so. hope dies at last.
( SDR example )

ok approval -
