ESP32 kills Asus Blue Cave Router
ESP32 kills Asus Blue Cave Router
When we connected ESP32 with an Asus Blue Cave router, it (this ESP32 connection) simply killed the entire router. Any connection sessions of the other devices with this Blue Cave died. We tried the standard example code came with the SDK, same result. Even the Blue Cave was set to AP mode, same problem. I called Asus Customer Care, they could not help at all. After the router was killed, the log showed:

Re: ESP32 kills Asus Blue Cave Router
I have exactly the same issue. I have tried with esp32 from another brands but same result so yes, it's a router problem. Do you have stock firmware?
Re: ESP32 kills Asus Blue Cave Router
Hello Sergio,
The firmware version of the Asus Blue Cave was 3.0.0.4.384.45708. That is the officially released version by Asus. I tried to contact Asus support, but helpless.

Re: ESP32 kills Asus Blue Cave Router
Hello,
I have the same issue. My problem is related to MYSA smart thermostat. As soon as I try to connect it to the router. It crashes the whole network. The network currently supports 23 IOT devices.
I can provide logs and so on.
My temporary solution is to use a range extender that connects to the blue cave that provides the internet connexion to the smart thermostat.

Re: ESP32 kills Asus Blue Cave Router
I think you need to find Asus official to solve this issue.
