Hi Sprite - I did have pull-ups, but they were about half the 3.3K recommended by the other article. I replaced them, and it didn't change anything.

Something is definitely wrong here...the prevalence of articles on this subject suggests a bug in the I2C library, at least to me.

Marking as resolved. While I can't rule out a problem with the I2C library, no one else seems to be having a problem with it, so I'm going to assume it's something in my code.

In my case, if i didn't call to "i2c_cmd_link_delete(cmd_handle)" function then you can see same error in the terminal.
