Need help for ESP-EYE development board

Postby Ritesh » Sat Jan 26, 2019 5:18 pm

Hi,

We received ESP-EYE development kit for evaluation purpose.

Would you please let me know is this just as part of development board or can we get with enclosure as well? Also is there any planning in future to enhance camera from 2 MP to 5 or more MONEY camera? Also any planning to enhance that board with some more RAM as well?

I have just checked sample firmware ans seems like it would be great if we can increase camera with RAM capacity to make some extra ordinary AIoT based development kit so that Application user can make some robust applications based on their product requirement.

Hi Ritesh,

For now ESP-EYE is a development board, and in the future we may give it an enclosure or integrate it into AIoT products.
We have also been trying with many kinds of cameras, including those with higher resolutions.
So it would be possible that ESP-EYE has better camera and more memory, and developers could implement diverse applications with help of ESP-WHO.
BTW, what kind of applications do you have in mind?

Hi Sandra,

Thanks for providing response regarding ESP-EYE development kit.

Right now, We are evaluating that development kit with ESP-WHO framework to check how voice recognition, face recognition and image capture is working. So, Once we complete that evaluation then we will think and plan to create camera based wireless node. Also, We are thinking to create AIoT based product as part of gateway to use it for home automation but it will take time to execute as we need to consider hardware and software aspects with that as well.

Please update me once you get any update regarding this development kit into future including enclosure as well.
