Is there a forecast on esp-idf v3.2 as stable release?

Thanks

Hi davdav,

We don't have a concrete release date. We're currently finalizing a release candidate version, which should be tagged before the end of the year. Then depending on the final round of QA and internal testing a final release will be some days or weeks after this.

Sorry we can't give a more precise release date at this point.

Thank you @ESP_Angus. If I need to do some test is it better:
-to checkout branch "release/v3.2"
-or to use tag "v3.2-beta1"?

I'd probably recommend checking out the release branch in this case, as it's so close to RC.

There's some more about updating to a release branch in the docs:
