Need help to trace Bluetooth Packets

Hi Espressif Team or others,

We have started to look Bluetooth Stack and Application as per our project requirements and started to evaluate it. So, Do you have any idea like is there any tool available to sniff Bluetooth Packets for debugging purpose?

We have tried to look couple of devices but didn't find appropriate as per our requirement. So, Please suggest us to use appropriate Bluetooth Sniffer Tool including software and hardware for our purpose.

Anyone has any idea regarding this? because we are blocked at some point while doing for bluetooth application. It will be good and appreciated if someone will give feedback for same.

We have looked some reference tools and software for that but that didn't match our requirement for same.

Do you have any other tool apart from above mentioned? send me those details as well if you have. Also we need only Bluetooth Sniffer like WiFi Tracer to check and debug packets of Bluetooth communication.

Thats the question to real bluetooth specialist (i am more amateur).

First one is cheap nRF ble chip which in theory should be able to sniff packets and can be used with free wireshark application.

The other is hell a lot expensive hardware ($13k), highly specialized, device to sniff all kind of data packets (wifi, bt,pickonet, audio etc). You have to ask yourself, do you need it and is your project worth to buy it? Best strategy would be to try with cheap one and if its not working then maybe, just maybe, think about that expensive. But its just my opinion.

That's the sniffer and software I used to reverse engineer the Bt BLE communications on my project when I first started. Worked great for me and was easy to use based on the info in those links.
