Camera interface with a microcontroller

Postby asfagus » Mon Nov 05, 2018 5:30 am

Is it possible to interface esp32 with a 5MP camera like OV5642 non fifo? If so, please help me with the coding i am unable to figure out how to program the registers. My main goal is to capture a full res image and store it in SD card or flash memory and send it via server.
I dont want to use the shields as it is too expensive. Also, do tell me if any other microcontroller can do it

Does it work with OV5642? I dont think it has the register mapped for 5642

As far as I can see, there is no support for OV5642.
It should be possible to use it, but you have to add the driver files ov5642.c, ov5642.h, ov5642_regs.h based on ov7725.* files.
I vould suggest to post an issue (feature request) in the repository.
