ESP32 32Khz external crystal

Hi,

Is the external 32KHz crystal required for sleep mode to keep track of time and wake up at a specific time, and also to wakeup when a GPIO input changes? I am using ULP in sleep mode with 1 second interval and wake up the main CPU when a GPIO changes.

No it is not required but it can improve accuracy of timekeeping
