16Mf Flash Partition for Arduino IDE

Postby malbro » Sat Sep 15, 2018 9:18 pm

I am using ESP32 WROOM 32U modules with 128MBit flash, programming using the Arduino IDE but currently only 4Mbyte of flash is usable with current partition tables.

I can see how to generate new partitions tables but I understand there is a limit to the practical size of a SPIFFS area. Is there a limit and if so what is it. I use the SPIFFS to store files for the AsyncWebServer and could really use at least twice the current size for the SPIFFS area. My current idea is to 4MByte for each OTA area and possibly 4MByte for the SPIFFS. Is this a practical solution?
