ESP-WROVER-KIT V3 physical dimensions

Postby permal » Tue Aug 07, 2018 7:18 pm

hi,

So now that I've gotten JTAG debugging working with the ESP-WROVER-KIT V3, I find myself in need of making a "connection board" to mount the Wrover-kit on (since wires needs to be run from multiple connections on the board [JP1, JP8 JP11]).

I'm thus looking for the physical dimensions of the board, placement of the jumper headers etc. Are these available somewhere, I can only find the schematics for the kit?

Thanks,

Per

Might this high quality picture answer some of your questions?

I've got the board so I can do measurements, but I doubt I'd get the measurements 100% correct, even with Vernier calipers. Surely Espressif have some design document outlining the different distances between edges and headers etc.

Please, Espressif?

I'd post a documentation request on GitHub if there was a project for the Wrover-kit, but alas there is not.

Hi permal, one drawing i was able to find does have outer dimensions, but unfortunately doesn't have dimensions between headers.

Thanks Iggr. I might be able to get the distances for the headers based on that image, but could you please ask your hardware people if they can provide the actual distances as that'd be 100% accurate?

Yes, I think I can import that into Fusion 360 and get the measurements from there. Otherwise I think there's a free viewer from Autodesk.

Thank you!

I've been trying to extract the dimensions, but the measurement tool in Autodesk Viewer is giving me completely insane values, as can be seen in the attached image. Is the DFX exported at some scale?
