ESP32 sketch lost after reboot

I programmed my ESP32 with the Arduino IDE 1.8.3 and every sketch is working perfectly.
But after a reboot or power down/up, the sketch is gone.
How is it possible to make the sketch persistent?

Moved to the Arduino subforum. What makes you so sure the sketch is gone, and not, for example, fails to start?

This is usually a symptom of scenario where people forgot to remove jumper on bootstrap pin ...
