Silicon revision of ESP32-D0WD chip
Silicon revision of ESP32-D0WD chip
Hello, I am interested in using the new ESP-WROOM-32D and ESP-WROOM-32U Modules. But, according to this page (http://esp32.net/#Hardware) the ESP32-D0WD chip use on these modules have old revision 0 silicon. Can someone confirm if this is the case? Or, will new ESP32-D0WD chips have the latest silicon?
Re: Silicon revision of ESP32-D0WD chip
These modules (and any other new modules/chips) will have Revision 1 silicon.
The esp32.net page is not maintained by Espressif. I think they are updating the page based on chips they have personally seen.

Thanks a lot for quick reply! Can you also tell me if there are any plans for a revision 2 silicon to fix last couple of hardware bugs?
Flash and RAM of ESP-WROOM-32D and ESP-WROOM-32U modules
Hello, I see the ESP-WROOM-32D and ESP-WROOM-32U modules are available as:
ESP-WROOM-32D (4MB Default)
ESP-WROOM-32D (8MB)
ESP-WROOM-32D (16MB)
ESP-WROOM-32U (4MB Default)
ESP-WROOM-32U (8MB)
ESP-WROOM-32U (16MB)
I assume this refers to the FLASH and not RAM ?
Does 4MB indicate 4MByte or 4MBits? I assume the default 4MB means 4MBytes FLASH, which would be equal to 32MBits?
