Need help to set transmit power for ESP32

Hi,

I am working on ESP32 based custom board and I have looked to find APIs to set transmit power for WiFi interface for ESP32 chip but not found anything. I am using ESP32-idf RTOS SDK to develop my application on ESP32 development board.

So, I want to set different transmit power from 0 to 20 dbm as we have did same thing for ESP8266 using "void system_phy_set_max_tpw(uint8 max_tpw)"

Does anyone has any idea for how to set/change transmit power for ESP32 chip? It will be more helpful for me if anyone can provide any API related informations for that as quickly as possible

Hi,

I have created one RF Data binary using flash download tool for ESP32 and flashed into RF Data Partition in 0x110000 but not got any effect into WiFi Tx power with different RF settings binaries.

So, I have checked in Partition docs and found that ESP32-idf has just created partition for RF Data but no any API or stack has been released for how to apply that RF Data from software after flashing RF Data binary into that location.

Does anyone has any idea that when ESP-idf will release that type of RF Data manipulation support into RTOS SDK stack?

Please let me know if anyone has nay information for that.

This feature will be part of 1.0 release, which will happen on the last week of November. Because we push updates to GitHub as soon as they are integrated into master branch, this feature will probably appear there before the release.

Partition table APIs will hopefully land into master this week, along with updated partition table layouts.

Thanks for update.

Yes. Partition table is created for RF Data and WiFi data into current ESP-idf RTOS SDK.

But, Actual functionality to apply that TX power settings which are stored into RF data partition is not implemented yet.

So, let's wait to provide that feature into ESP-idf SDK from Espressif System.
