I am just getting started in microcontrollers and would appreciate you giving me help with the following problem. Your help may need to be detailed and simple. I am to the point where I have downloaded a built-in sketch example. When compiling, the sketch appears to compile but then at the end it states:

“A fatal error occurred: Failed to connect to ESP32: No serial data received.” “Failed uploading: uploading error: exit status 2”

I have a DO IT ESP32 DEVKIT V1 connected to COM Port 1.
