Reprovisioning of WiFi after first failed attempt

In this github issue: https://github.com/espressif/esp-idf/issues/5261 it says that in Unified Provisioning if first attempt to connect to wifi is failed then it will fail if we correctly try to connect the second time, this issue was reported in 2020, now its 2024, is the issue still persistent in the latest versions ? If not which all sdk versions support it ?Im using v5.2.3.
