Hello,
What happens when the duration of high or low state is less than the deadtime? Is the state switched? Only one of the two generators? None?
I want to control a synchronous buck-boost converter with the MCPWM peripheral.
I would like to have accurate control of the "main" mosfet (i.e. the PWM duty should be accurate, and not decreased by the rising edge delay), while the secondary mosfet (which replaces the diode from asynchronous version) should be activated with delay and disabled with "negative delay" (the mosfet can still conduct through internal diode so switching it on only decreases losses).
This means that preferably I should be able to control the PWM of high side from 0 to 100%, while the other one should go 100%-HIGH-2xDT.
I don't think that going totally to zero on the high side is necessary... It's only important to reach 100% for smooth transition between buck and boost modes.
What would be the best configuration for this?
MCPWM deadtime
