Unable to download component - hfudev/json@1.7.16~1

I added hfudev/json@1.7.16~1 using the ESP Components manager. However I keep getting the following error:

  ERROR: Cannot download component hfudev/json@1.7.16~1.  Server returned
  HTTP code 404

I have tried to remove the dependency but ESP IDF refuses to remove it.

hfudev/json is available by default.

idf_component.yml is not required.
