IOS Rainmaker App V3.2.1 On Wifi Provisioning SOFTAP

Hi,

After V3.2.1 released, none of my IOS devices can do SOFTAP Provision anymore. The app crashes once WIFI information is provided while WIFI stays connected to ESP32 network.

Please let me know if anyone else has the same issue.

An issue was identified with the recent changes in firmware for using the new Network provisioning component instead of the earlier Wi-Fi provisioning component. The apps were able to provision the nodes after this change. Can you confirm if things started failing for you just on app update, or had you updated the firmware as well?

I have not changed updated the firmware and used the recent IOS app which was release 12 hours ago, and I still have the same issue where the app crashes. Which version of firmware do I need to update to?

Which esp-idf version and esp-rainmaker commit are you currently on? Are you trying this with some default RainMaker project? Which MCU are you using?

I am using ESP32-S3, and this is my project I have been using for about 1 year now. On my android device everything is fine, but on my IOS the ESP Rainmaker app crashes.

Same issue here! The app crashes right after entering WiFi info. Hoping for a fix soon.

Our Engineers tried with the same commits using iPhone 11 (iOS 17.5.1), iPhone 12 mini (iOS 17.6.1). iPhone 12 mini (iOS 18.0) and esp32s3 board, but the issue could not be reproduced. Can you provide more details about your phone mode, iOS version and the devKit info? Sharing the serial terminal logs would also help. Additionally, can you once check with our standard examples so that we find a reliable way to reproduce and debug at our end?

iPhone 15 Pro iOS 17.6.1

In the console it just mentioned secured connection established and then app dies. I will copy paste the log once I have time to run the test again.
