ESP STA or AP wifi is not working

Hi All,

I have checked ESP32_FCC_WIFI_BT_20161208_V1.0.4.bin which is provided by Espressif Systems to check for RF Related testing on STA and AP not working board and found following outputs while executing TX and RX packet transmission and reception commands.

So, I just want to know what the above logs indicates? because, I am not to create AP mode network and not able to connect with other router or network into STA mode and above logs shows wifi tx and rx is working which is misunderstanding for me.

Please correct me if anyone has any idea for that.

Does anyone has any update regarding this issue as I have already provided some test-cases and its result in some previous replies?

Let me know if anyone has any suggestion or inputs to check from software side or from hardware side.

Hi,

I have tried to capture packets of ESP32 chips into sniffer which are not working into AP+STA mode using following ways.

1) Created Hot-Spot in one mobile phone with SSID and password.
2) Installed Packet Capture APK into mobile phone and started to capture packets.
3) Created firmware with same SSID and Password to start ESP32 board into STA mode
4) First of all, started Non-Working board and logged Gateway Boot-up logs and saved Packet Capture Screen-Shot.
5) After that, started Working board and logged Gateway Boot-up logs and saved Packet Capture Screen-Shot.

So, I am not getting any single packet in Packet Capture logs for Non-Working Boards while getting 7 to 8 logs for Working Board.

It seems like any WiFi packets are not coming from MAC Layer itself from ESP32 chip.

Can this problem be solved by re-flowing or providing some heating on ESP32 chip into non working board? Because, That is last option I have to solve or debug this issue as I have already tried all possible test-cases to debug it in deep level.

Hi All,

ESP STA+AP mode issue has been resolved by reworking hardware after checking and comparing both non-working hardware with working hardware.

Actually, The Capacitor which is connected with XTAL_P Line is not connected properly which causes this issue. So, After re-soldering that Capacitor, We are now able to form the network in AP mode and also able to connect with Router which we have configured for STA mode.

When you encounter AP or STA always occur disconnect, you may as well check config ( ssid_len and authmode ) is correct!

Yes. We have did all possible test-cases to create network but not got any success at that time then after that we found that the issue was of hardware in which one XTAL was not connected properly.

So, After reworking that XTAL in proper position, We were able to form network into AP mode as well as able to connect with Router into STA mode.

So, There was hardware issue in my case. Please check hardware first if you are facing this type of issue into your hardware.

I am currently doing CE certification testing for ESP07 module. We have passed all tests pending receiver blocking. I wanted to know if anyone knows the meaning of the parameters err and err_fcs that we get on executing a Rx stop command. I want to count the exact number of packets sent by the module and the exact number of packets received by it.
