ESP 32 Factory reset with only board?
ESP 32 Factory reset with only board?
My esp 32 can't seem to be found at the com port section at device manager, sunday it was working and now my laptop can't recognize it I've tried different USB cables with data transferring and to other laptops with installed drivers. What I am only thinking right now is to factory reset this esp32 without the need of coding. Is it possible? btw I'm new to ESP 32 since I need this to work ASAP, I'm doing sign gloves project for a school fair.

Re: ESP 32 Factory reset with only board?
That's an issue between the USB-serial chip and your PC, the ESP32 doesn't have anything to do with this and 'factory resetting' won't solve your problem. I don't know enough about Windows drivers to say more; perhaps you need to reinstall the driver or something?
Re: ESP 32 Factory reset with only board?
I tried reinstalling the board but it says COM 3 not found, I have also tried many USB cables. My guess is the ESP32 USB to UART is damaged?/

Try remove in device manager the silabs cp210x...
Then restart computer and check in device manager again.
if the device has an exclamation mark, install the cp210x driver
